About

I am a student aiming to earn a PhD in Molecular Genetics. After earning my PhD, I intend to pursue a career as a principal investigator operating a lab that builds upon and develops new gene therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and minor in Chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall of 2025. At USM, I worked under the guidance of Alex Flynt, PhD as well as Kaitlin Baudier, PhD. Externally, I served as an NSF REU intern under R. Keith Slotkin, PhD and Amgen Scholar under Jonathan D. Cooper, PhD.

I am especially motivated to provide mentorship and support to my peers and other aspiring scientists. I currently serve as a mentor in the Goldwater Scholars Community. At USM, I was an Ambassador for the School of Biological, Environmental, and Earth Sciences, and I served on the Honors College Leadership Council.
